ABOUT ATTORNEY NIGEL PHIRI

Attorney Nigel has been working in the Personal Injury field since 2014. His first legal job was as an intern for State Farm, doing insurance defense while he was still in law school. After graduating in 2015, Nigel spent his few years in practice defending several large insurance defense companies to include Nationwide, Liberty Mutual, Zurich, GEICO, USAA, etc. at the law firm of Vernis & Bowling and Cruser & Mitchell in Atlanta. 

In 2017, Nigel partnered at a small plaintiff's firm and began working against insurance companies. In 2019, He joined the largest plaintiff's firm in the world, Morgan and Morgan, where he handled premises liability, auto wreck, and negligent security cases. Nigel obtained an $8.8 million dollar verdict in 2021 and was ranked #1 in settlement amounts obtained for the Atlanta Premises Liability Department. 

Finally, in the 4th quarter of 2021, Nigel opened this firm right here in the heart of Atlanta. Nigel focuses his practice working on a smaller number of catastrophic cases. This focus allows Nigel to provide a higher level of personal engagement with every client. 

Attorney Nigel Phiri grew up in Zambia and South Africa before relocating to the States where he graduated from Roswell High School. Nigel attended Georgia State University, graduating cum laude in three years as a Pre-Law major. While at Georgia State, Nigel was the founding president of a student-run organization that focused on helping students balance the academic, spiritual, and emotional rigors of pursuing a modern-day college education.

Nigel received Georgia State University's Phil Peters Scholarship as a junior and a senior. After graduating, Nigel attended Mercer University School of Law. While at Mercer Law, Nigel received several accolades, including the Advanced Legal Writing & Researching Certificate and being the Student Coach of the Wagner National Moot Court Team. He also served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Southern Journal of Policy & Justice, Volume IX, and he was a member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Team during his first year of law school.

Nigel won Second Place for his article titled “Follow The Money: The Integrity of The Career Expert Witness” in The Expert Institute's 2015 Legal Blog Post Writing Contest.

Nigel is active in the community. His Community Law Day program aims to provide access to lawyers to members of the Atlanta community. He strives to empower his clients to have the confidence to pursue the justice and compensation they rightfully deserve. Nigel is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, Supreme Court of Georgia and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia. Outside of the practice of law, Nigel enjoys reading, running, playing basketball and soccer, and spending time with his friends and family. He currently lives in Douglasville, Georgia.
